Intro:

As I write this, I took these pictures about 3 months ago. I was not aware that anyone was paying much attention, but was pleased to note that some folks do enjoy these.

I hope I can remember what I was looking at when I snapped these. I had some problems with this batch too. I believe I lost a disk or two (not readable when I got it home).

Of note in this round:

Interior finish.
Several pictures from inside Shirley's show how the interior finish is going to come out. She has plaster and trim!

The Pics:

This is looking out the basement window from our house. Gary has done a beautiful job all around the site with these window wells. Basement window well
Our basement all ready to have the floor poured. There is an inch or two of foam under the vapor barrier. Our basement
There was a remarkable array of bits and pieces of PVC fittings laid out on our living room floor. The display extends off beyond the camera's range. pipe collection
The framing for the front deck. deck frame
The construction on Marilyn and Hoppy's has almost caught up. There is a Clivus in their backyard (hope it fits down the bulkhead). Marilyn and Hoppy's
We now venture into Shirley's house for an extended tour.
First we visit her living room.

Shirley's dining room. Check out the hardwood floor and stair railing. Shirley's diningroom
Shirley's bathtub. No tile yet. Shirley's bathtub
Shirley's hot water heater and expansion tank (it doesn't get more exciting than this folks..). Shirley's plumbing
Shirley's shower. Shirley's shower
Shirley's bedroom.
This now completes our tour of Shirley's.

All the electrical boxes on exterior walls are equipped with gaskets around the outer edge and inside where the wires pierce the box. Using cellulose insulation greatly reduces the need for a tight vapor barrier, but I was impressed. electrical box gasket
The more interesting details of this picture are too dark, but notice that there is a rubber gasket (the black band) attached to the wall around the window opening. This will "seal" against the sheetrock when it is put up on the wall. sheetrock gasket
I really like the exposed framing inside the porch roof. The beams were cut from the pitch pines we had to clear from the property. This picture is of Randy and Philippe's. porch ceiling
This is a shot down the back side of Randy and Philippe's living room. There is a vapor barrier gasket around the opening to the cellar stairs (cellar is clearly considered to be "outside" in someone's thinking). You can also note that the walls of the bathroom are loaded up with insulation. Randy and Philippe's living room
