As I write this, I took these pictures 6 months ago. I was not aware that anyone was paying much attention, but I did hear from a number of folks that they were disappointed that I haven't been keeping up. (Hey.. anyone wann'a learn HTML, it's pretty straight forward stuff...).
I hope I can remember what I was looking at when I snapped these. As I recall, I believe I was short of day light or perhaps battery power; but whatever, it resulted in a very rapid run around the site and not a very thorough set of pictures.
Of note in this round:
| Let's start with our house. It's remarkable how much difference covering the Tyvek with shingles makes. |
| Bob's house has windows and trim. |
| Craig's house is at about the same stage. |
| John and Chris's. |
| The pond has water! Pretty cool. The color is a little funny, but I gather that has to do with the disturbance of the filling process and the lack of any organics. |
| An electrical trench with some exposed wiring. |
| This cluster of grey conduit pipes represents the termination points for the telco connections for all the houses at our end of the project. The wires from each house will gather here in a weather-tight pedestal right on our front step. Somewhat of a bummer, but I suppose it will make it much easier for me to tap the lines. |
| Marilyn and Hoppy's. |
| Sean's. |
| Dick and Judy chose one of those nifty gable end details. |
| Paris's. |
| Paul and Sylvie's house with a huge stack of cellulose insulation stacked on the porch. |
| Chris Stein's. |
| Randy and Philippe's (which spelling of Philippe should I try this time?) |
| Chris has spent some time and gotten started tilling the backyard. |
| Chris has put in some plant material too. Not sure I know what they are from this picture (can't remember). |
| Round the horn again to our beloved Shirley. (has she told you the one about...) |
| Paul and Julia's with another big pile of insulation. |
| Sheila's has a distinctive aura of well adjusted feng shua. |
| Martha's. A question for the kids at home: what's different in these two pictures? |
| Yes, we did have a party in the middle here. The hammocks remain as testimony. Wonder if the crews use them for lunch? |
| Trenches, trenches everywhere and not a place to step. |
