Intro:

Couldn't get my act together to make another round of shots, and then even longer to find time to post the images. The battery started to run out; so I couldn't record as much detail as I got around to the last houses on my circuit. This is more or less a clockwise tour around the place starting at Shirley's.

Of note in this round:

Lots of shingling.
Makes the houses look quite a bit smaller. The shingles are still that bright yellow-orange color of unoxidized cedar, but you can begin to get a sense of how the houses are going to fade from view amongst the trees as they grey.
Subs have started inside.
As of these photos, Shirley's house has finished rough wiring and the heating pipes are going into another. The subcontractor work can take quite a bit of time and there isn't as much to "see" while it is going on. Changes will be more dramatic when the plasterers start work on the interior walls.

The Pics:

Shirley's. Always first in our hearts, Shirley's is always the first to have work done. Shirley's
View out Shirley's basement window. Lousy shot, but check out Gary's stone work retaining the window well. Shirley's basement

Shirley's bulkhead stair. Escape route from the basement. Exit up
Somewhat pointless because the detail is tough to make out, but there is rough wiring and electrical boxes in Shirley's kitchen. Shirley's kitchen
Paul and Julia's Paul and Julia's House
Main staircase in Paul and Julia's House Paul and Julia's stairway
Every cohousing project needs a Lull. How else do you get pianos up to the second floor? SoMoCo's Loadall
Sheila's. Have you had your blue-green algae today? Sheila's House
Another exciting detail. Between the first and second floor, we have heating system pipes going into Christie's house. Christie's ceiling
Martha is still shingleless, but she does have a bulkhead. Martha's House
Our master bedroom. Our bedroom
Bummed that the kid gets a bigger closet. Our upstairs
Out our bedroom window looking at Craig's and John & Chris's. You can just see the Bullet Head shed from here too. View towards the pond
Bob's house out the same window. Where are these outdoor showers going again? Bob's house
Bob's house from the side. Bob's house revisited
Bob's stairwell. Porch detail
John & Chris's foundation. The famous Bullet Head shed in the background. Bullet Head designed/built this shed while studying architecture at Yale. Notice the careful attention to detail in the the color pattern of the roof slates (I kid you not..). The shed was built on skids about 8 or 9 years ago in anticipation of its eventual move to another location. John and Chris's foundation

My parking space. I figure putting this on the web site gives me first dibs. My parking space
A portrait of the artist as a young man. Self portrait
Hoppy & Marilyn's foundation finally being formed up. Hoppy and Marilyn's foundation

A house full of windows. Stacked up windows
I believe this is the last two homes on the row: Chris & Laural's and Randi & Philippe's, but I do get confused about the West End. The WestEnd Manses
Paul and Sylvia's. They seem to rate a number in front of their house. Paul and Sylvia's
